One for All Alaska Fund
![]()
Did you know that in Alaska, approximately 15,000 different people need assistance with food each week? Too many in our community don’t know how they are getting their next meal, not only for themselves, but also their children. That’s why Credit Union 1 has chosen fighting hunger to be our credit union wide focus in 2011. How are we going to do this, you ask? It’s simple. We are launching the One for All Alaska Fund. Each year, this fund will be used to raise money for the credit union wide yearly focus. Then, at the end of each year, the fund will be zeroed out because ALL the money will go back into our communities.
ALL money raised in each community will stay in that community and funds will be dispersed in January 2012:
Anchorage: Children’s Lunchbox and Dare to Care
Eagle River: Eagle River Food Bank
Soldotna: Kenai Peninsula Food Bank
Kodiak: Kodiak Island Food Bank
Ketchikan: Ketchikan Salvation Army’s Food Programs
Fairbanks: Fairbanks Senior Center’s Meals-On-Wheels Program
Nome: Nome Community Food Bank
